This is for my beautiful daughter, Adara Jade. I hope that she will be a most independent lady. In this blog I will hope to part some of my wisdom in life, love, and family on to her and maybe others. It is in part a random dumping of thoughts so I don't forget.

You Amaze Me

OH! I just love to sit and talk to you, my young lady. Talking about the universe and watching your eyes as I try to explain how our solar-system works and that we live on planet earth with the moon circling us as we spin on an axis and circle the sun. You repeat everything I say and I can just see the wheels turning in your head. Though, I sit there trying to be your teacher; you are mine. You teach me love, patience, happiness, sadness, wonder, pride, and so many other things that I never really experienced until I had you and your brother. You have made my life everything I could have ever dreamed of...could have ever hoped for. You are my priceless treasures that I would fight 200 armies alone to keep you by my side. I would carry you across a lake of lava to keep you safe from it's melting destruction. You simply amaze me.
You turn 4 in two weeks and at this point you understand what a birthday is and that a party is going to be thrown for you. You are asking for things and hoping for others. I will try to make it all you hope for. It is my hope that you will always get at least one thing that you wished for and many other things that you like for your birthdays and Christmas. I never want the sparkles in your eyes to fade when you say, "It's my birthday."
I never knew a heart
Could be this full
How can it be it doesn't burst
How do you make me
Feel so complete
When I know I may never be mended
Or am I, already
It seems to me
You shower me with love
Love, hope, trust, and admiration
Do I deserve these things
I shake my head
I don't believe I do
But it doesn't matter
Not one bit
For you do, you do
You took the pieces
That were shattered
You filled in all the cracks
And gave me something
Of a miracle, different than before
A mosaic after-math
Thanks to you
My children
